When people get really holier-than-thou about being a virgin, it’s super irritating. I’m all for everyone making their own decisions so, if you’re still a virgin by choice, that’s cool with me. Good for you, in fact, for being so devoted to your decision. But it’s when people say, “I could be like you if I wanted, but you can’t be like me ever again” that I could actually punch someone. Like woah, hold the fucking phone. I could have been like you, but I decided that wasn’t right for me. In the same way that I’m not going to think you’re lesser than I am because you haven’t had sex, you are not allowed to think I’m lesser than you are because I have. That’s just not cool. If you’re proud of your virginity, I’m proud of you too. But let’s not judge other people.
